Operation Smile

We finally got to do a run for Operation Smile!!  I loved it so much.  It makes you so proud to know that some little kid out there will get a life changing surgery because of you.  We know just how much it means to have these surgeries done.  It really does change lives.
Tim had to work, so it was just the kids and me for the long trek.  It was a cold morning, and windy.  Carter decided that he was going to win, so he was all up for running.  He kept me moving just trying to keep up with him.  He ran for a good 2 miles and then decided to jump on the stroller for a while.  The last 1/4 of a mile or so, I got to run with just Carter, and cheer him on as he crossed the finish line.  He was so proud and is still determined that he won!  Kinley on the other hand was not as much of a fan.  She ended up crying about mile 2 and kept in going till the end.  I think she was cold and tired.
I hope was can make this an annual thing to get out there and support Operation Smile.  What a great cause!

Thanks for running with us guys!  And thanks Lilly for crying it out with Kinley!

9 Months

It is hard to believe Kinley is already 9 months!  She has been in this world as long as she was in my tummy. Crazy!  I could not imagine life without this little one.  It is true, Carter has taken a while to warm up to her, but I think we are at a good place finally.  He talks about how much he loves his little sister and is so happy she is in our family.  I think we all feel the same way.
We will go in next week for her 9 month stats.  Kinley is a busy little thing.  Like really busy.  She can not sit still for a moment.  Kinley is getting really good at saying Dadda, and actually starts screaming it when he walks in the house after work.  She has said Doggie a few times, and has not even attempted a Mama. :(  I feel like we are not far from walking, since she can stand by herself pretty good for a while.  Kinley is a great eater and loves to try new things.

The more I look at this picture, the funnier it gets!
(No babies were injured or hurt in the production of this photo!)

Mini me?

Kinley loves peas! Like really loves them. After I gave her blended peas, I just started giving her whole ones. And she downed them like they were candy. Tim is pretty sure she got her love of peas from me since he won't be seen in the same room with them. And, I am thinking she looks like me?!? Might I have a mini me on my hands? We can hope!

Laundry Boy

This boy loves to fold laundry! Thank goodness because I HATE laundry! Just ask my mom. I put the clothes in the washer, and then forget about it. I usually end up having to wash it a few times because it will be forgotten for a few days. But, when mom is here, it is magical. I will put it in the washer, and then find my clothes all folded on my bed within a few hours. Come back mommy, we need you!

Artistic

I have been wanting to decorate the kids room for awhile now, so I decided to get some crafty things together and do it.  This is what I have come up with so far.  Nothing too much, but cute!

And since we were feeling so artistic, Carter and I made this for Tim:

We have been keeping busy around here.  Tim is taking a big test later this week, so we really have not seen much of him this month.  I can not wait for it to be over, so we can have our Daddy back!  I have been taking on online photography class that keeps me busy in the evenings.  Carter and Kinley continue to keep us on our toes! :)
And now for some random pictures.  Enjoy!!!

The Big 3-0

Well, it is finally here.  I have officially turned 30.  Yes, I know, it is hard to believe.  I actually still think of myself as 25, so 30 seems really unrealistic.  I had a wonderful day thanks to great friends and family.  My dear friend Melissa took me out to breakfast and hung out with me during the day to keep my mind off the fact that I was no longer in my 20's.  When Tim got home we went out to dinner and then came home for cake and presents.
Ok, 30, lets do this!  I can not wait to see what you have in store for me!!!  I have a feeling good things are coming our way...

Valentines

Carter had so much fun preparing his very first valentines to hand out at preschool!  He also LOVED opening all his valentines when he got home from school.  He said "I sure do have a lot of friends Mom!"  Oh, Carter, you are too cute!
